Recommendations

We know it can be hard to choose a pick from a large variety, especially if you don't play guitar yourself. Our basic recommendations make it easy to please without taking the time to study every detail. Our exchange policy is very flexible so if the pick you select is just not right, we'll work with you to get you the right pick.

Our Top Seller

The Brasilian Agate Traditional Style Classic Pick is our top selling pick for many good reasons. The Traditional Style is the most common classic shape as well as the most versatile. Wether you play acoustic or electric, rhythm or lead, Jazz or bluegrass, the Traditional Style can do it all. Even if you have a hunch that another pick may be better, this is a great introduction into the stone pick experience.

If you're unsure which thickness to select, 1.5mm is what I recommend for most applications. The thin Brasilian Agate Traditional Style Pick is the stone version of what most guitarists are already very accustomed to using.

Necklaces

You can get the Traditional Style Pick (as well as many others) as convenient Necklaces so they can always be within reach when the urge to play arises. Our Necklaces are the best place to keep your stone pick, and the best way to show it off. You can choose a free 16" or 18" Leather Rope, or upgrade to a 16" or 18" fine Silver Chain.

Gift Packs

Our Sampler Packs cover every base so you can be sure to please the pickiest of pickers. You can buy packages of 3 or 4 Classic Picks, Combo Picks, Grip Picks, Combo Grip Picks, and much more. Versatile guitarists need a variety of tools in their chest, and these kits have the right tools for every job. Not only do you save time shopping, but you also save money, what a deal!

Gift Certificates

Give the gift of shopping! We offer Gift Certificates in $30, $60, $90, and $120 amounts directly on our website. You can either have the certifcate snail mailed, or we'll send an email with a .jpg attachment for you to print yourself. Let us know if you want us to send the snail mail or email directly to the recipient.

Gems on a budget?

Don't overlook our Blemished Picks, they're still gems and guitar picks! Most of our Blemished picks are indistinguishable from non-blemished picks and often people can't find the blemish. In any case, receiving your first stone pick as a gift is a wonderful experience. And it can mean getting two instead of just one.

Friendly Service

If you still have questions about the perfect gift, don't hesitate to contact us. We'll get back to you as quickly as we can with the information you need.

AMBER PICKS!

The Ultimate substitute for the forbidden fruit of Tortoise Shell Picks.

"With these beautiful polished stone picks, the ease of playability, the quality of service, and, most importantly, the control over tone you have as a player; Why anyone chooses to stick with crappy plastic picks is beyond me. Thank you, Picks and Stones!"

"The best $25 dollars I have ever spent on anything period!"

"I've owned stone guitar picks for over 15 years, but these are by far the best I've ever seen. The quality is excellent and the finish is perfect. I highly recommend these picks."

Wow. My tone is changed completely. As soon as I got used to the pick (about 2 days)
I was acheiving the tone I had been stiving for for years.
Worth every penny.

I've used stone for 20 plus years, but none have had the bevel just right...till now! Thank you.

I didn't know what to expect from a stone pick, and spending this much on a pick was either going to be a great decision or a really bad one. Now that I've played with it a few hours, I'm delighted with the brilliant tone and wonderful resonance. It will take some getting used to, but I'm looking forward to rediscovering my guitar - this is how it's supposed to sound!

The attack is not as agressive as plastic, very smooth. Triplets are effortless. I seem to get from string to string quicker, but who knows. I was a little wary of spending twenty bucks on a pick, but there is no wear at all and after a year I still have it.
